Antje has a comprehensive German engineering education. Her professional life has been focused on environmental engineering and, for the last 20 years, on renewable energy. She has more than 25 years of professional experience as a project manager, training developer and trainer in the field of environmental engineering and renewable energy. In 2019, together with Vivian Blümel, she founded the GREEN Solar Academy as a spin-off of Maxx Solar Energy. The GREEN Solar Academy operates several SAPVIA-approved training and assessment centres throughout South Africa. Since 2017, Antje has been active within SAPVIA, she was vice chair of the SSEG working group and since June 2021, Antje is chair of the SAPVIA skills4PV working group. Antje is an ambassador for the PV GreenCard programme. Education and training for a just energy transition is Antje’s passion. And she wants to bring this passion to SAPVIA’s MANCO to help the PV industry develop a training roadmap that will ensure we have enough skilled people to implement the just energy transition.
