ANTJE KLAUSS-VORREITER

Antje has a comprehensive German engineering education and more than 25 years of professional experience as a project manager, training developer, and trainer in environmental engineering and renewable energy. For the past 20 years, her work has focused on renewable energy, with a particular emphasis on skills development and workforce capacity building.
Since 2017, Antje has been actively involved in SAPVIA. She served as Vice-Chair of the SSEG Working Group and has chaired the Skills4PV Working Group since June 2021. Through this role, she has worked with industry stakeholders to address skills shortages, promote quality standards, and support the development of training pathways for South Africa’s growing solar PV sector.
For the past two years, Antje has served on SAPVIA’s Government Committee (GovCo) as the representative of SAPVIA’s training centres, contributing the skills development perspective to committee discussions and industry initiatives.
As co-founder of the GREEN Solar Academy and an ambassador for the PV GreenCard programme, Antje is passionate about ensuring that South Africa develops the skilled workforce needed to support a sustainable and inclusive energy transition.
