Ziska Mc Gilton is a seasoned renewable energy executive with more than 15 years of experience in the South African
renewable energy sector and over two decades of leadership experience spanning asset management, finance, operations, governance and business strategy. As Head of Asset Operations at Pele Green Energy, she oversees a diverse portfolio of operational renewable energy assets, ensuring they are managed safely, sustainably and in a manner that delivers long-term value for shareholders, lenders, communities and other stakeholders.

A Chartered Global Management Accountant (CIMA), Ziska brings a unique combination of commercial acumen, operational excellence and strategic leadership. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to sound governance, stakeholder engagement and building high-performing teams that deliver sustainable outcomes.

Ziska is deeply passionate about advancing South Africa’s energy transition and strengthening the renewable energy industry’s contribution to inclusive economic growth. She believes renewable energy projects should deliver more than clean electricity they should create meaningful opportunities for local communities, support transformation and contribute to long-term socio-economic development. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in integrity, accountability, collaboration and responsible stewardship. These principles have enabled her to successfully navigate complex stakeholder environments while maintaining a strong focus on safety, operational performance and industry development.

With her extensive industry experience, governance expertise and commitment to the growth and sustainability of the renewable energy sector, Ziska would make a valuable contribution to the SAPVIA Governing Committee, including in a leadership capacity such as Chairperson, where she can help guide the Association’s strategic direction, strengthen industry collaboration and advance the interests of its members and the broader renewable energy sector.
