Ayathandwa Booi, aged 22, was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. She attended the University of Johannesburg, where she completed her studies in Public Relations and Communications. Throughout her academic journey, she developed a strong interest in media, event management, and effective communication strategies that connect people and brands.

Her professional experience includes working as a Press and Media Intern, where she was involved in media relations, drafting press releases, and assisting with communication campaigns. She also worked as a Brand Ambassador at Publicis Commerce, representing brands and engaging with the public to promote products and services. These roles helped her build confidence, creativity, and excellent interpersonal skills.

In 2025, Ayathandwa was selected to join the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) as a Communications and Events Intern — an opportunity that marks the beginning of her professional journey in the renewable energy sector.
